One of long golden beach , very clean, shallow, and attracts swimming and sunbathing. This is one of the few places where we can see the lagoon (poyil) and ocean separated only by a few hundreds of meters.

Cherai is sheer eye candy! It is a delectable combination of green paddy fields, coconut palms, backwaters and of course, the omnipresent Arabian Sea. What makes Cherai Beach distinct from other beach hideaways is its unique ambience – its very air spells harmony and balance. It has the distinction of being one of the cleanest beaches in India and owing its shallow depths, is safe for swimming, surfing and sunbathing.

The crystal clear waters around Cherai Beach are ideal for swimming, snorkeling and surfing. Besides these, there is ample scope for bird and animal watching. You may actually spot a heron or stork scrounging for its prey amid the paddy fields, or ducks waddling in shallow pools and dolphins frolicking in the surf. Cherai’s backwaters which constitute a network of lakes, lagoons, canals and estuaries are home to a wide variety of freshwater flora and fauna.

 Mattupetty Dam: The Mattupetty lake and dam is a very beautiful picnic spot. The sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala lake are other attractions in the vicinity.

Echo Point is a popular adventure tourism destination. Trekking and nature walks are popular activities in this scenic destination with beautiful views of the green hills. The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view makes it worthy of a visit. Echo Point is on the way to Top Station from Munnar.               

Proceed for Eravikulam National Park.
Eravikulam National Park is a sanctuary set up for the preservation of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The main inhabitant of the park is Nilgiri Tahr.

 

Now the park has the largest known population of Nil Giri Tahr's existing in the world. The park exhibits the breathtaking natural splendor of rolling grasslands and exotic flowers. Anamudi (2,695 m), the highest peak south of Himalayas, towers over the sanctuary in majestic pride

Have a wonderful experience in the Tea Museum: This hill station is well known for its tea plantations. This museum highlights some very interesting facts and figures about the growth and development of tea plantations in Munnar and the finer aspects from plucking to packaging of tea.                

Proceed to Cheeyappara Waterfalls

Have a wonderful wash under the fresh green water .Located between Neriamangalam and Adimali on the Kochi-Madurai Highway, Cheeyappara waterfalls is a treat to the eyes. The fall cascades down in seven steps making it unique…

Visit to the Top Station: The highest point (1700m) on the Munnar-Kodaikanal road, Top Station offers a panoramic view of the majestic Western Ghats. The rare Neelakurinji (Strobilanthus), for which the destination is popular, blooms only once in every twelve years…sadly, you will have to wait till 2018 to view that.

 

Proceed in the evening for a long walk and get lost in nature. Walk through the tea Plantations. Return back to resort at your convenience …… of course our driver will be there to bring you back
